Our history began in 1989, when Michael J. Considine established a general law practice in the Lee National Bank Building in downtown Lee. The practice grew to include attorneys Shawn P. Leary in 1995, and Adrienne Arnold in 2024, when the firm became CONSIDINE LEARY & ARNOLD LLP. Our support staff includes Mary Ann Saunders, who has worked at the firm since its inception, and Donna Colbert, who joined in 2011.
Built in 1835, the Lee National Bank Building is a landmark in the heart of a classic New England milltown. In 1996, the building was purchased by Considine and Leary, who undertook a full historic renovation, replacing much of the building's infrastructure, uncovering its signature atrium, and restoring original features such as brass teller cages. In 1997, the Massachusetts Historical Commission presented Considine and Leary with the Commonwealth's annual Preservation Award, and the Lee Historical Commission honored their "magnificent restoration" with its first Lee Preservation Award.
